making of criminal act

After booking out the equipment, today we filmed the opening sequence of 'criminal act' and the meeting of the victim and killer.
We went to the location, which was a park, and filmed the detective chasing the suspect, the next step was to film the meeting of the victim, i used a long shot, extreme close up of her bracelet. Moreover, I Used POV to show the movement of the victim walking towards, i felt this was worked really effectively, because it will enable the audience to be intrigued what will he do next. I also filmed the killer placing the bracelet into his pocket using close up of his hand and the bracelet. the final step for us to do today was to film trhe victim washing away the blood on his hand, for this i used the over the shoulder shot. This had taken a long time because, some i used other shots and angles, therfore it be could be used if needed in the editing process.

Creating the film

After the day of filming the victim board, and the killer behind the computer, the next was to film the interview between the suspect and the killer, we an office to do thsi. this was very dificult to film, because of the lighting in the room, i used various shots from diiferent angles, for example low angle to see the detective facial expression, moreover after i did this i re-filmed the victim behind the computer, as i felt that it could have been captured better in an different enviroment, and re-done at a diiferent part of the college.

script

I have now completed the script for the crime drama, i have written 4 scences:
The first scene is based we identify the two main characters the victim (Amy) and the murder ( wayne), we see the that Amy is being bullied by two boys and Wayne enters the scene defending her and this gradully bulids upto scene 2 which is based on Wayne and his wife and how she deals with consequences, if she does not do what he tells her. Furthermore, this builds up and shows the type of person his. Scene 3 is the most detailed scence because it focuses on the main storlyline the murder, however the script does not mention the murder, meaning that the audience have to work out what has happened. This is scene is gruesome and the main plot.
Scene 4 is the shortest scene were it just focuses and the bracelet and the victim board and and how Wayne does not have any kind of remorse.
I have completed this as my first draft, for the script.

link production

After a lot of consideration with the linked production, instead of creating a Dvd cover for the crime drama, i have chosen to create a script for the drama, this has to consist of the minimum of 3 pages, i feel as if i am confident ino do this, because i lot being creative and writing, moreover i feel i would be more confident in doing this. I have looked up the scripts, and how i should format it.
The below link shows:
http://www.simplyscripts.com/genre/crime-scripts.html
On the website, i looked at a variety of crime drama scripts, and given me an ideas how i should format it, and what to include in it.

I also looked at the Dvd cover for CSI:
The main colour that is used, with an flash effect using the characters, the use of a male and female character can represent the idea of equality.
The Title of CSI, is exposed on the character of the crime drama, boldly and brings out the characters

For further research i looked at the dvd boxset for ' The Shield' similarly to ' The Wire' there is a use of limited text and colour, moreover this has an great effect, by using an image of a shield interacts with the creation of the film, i have watched a variety of episodes to the series therefore the cover meets the purpose of the drama, beacause it based on the police and detective and how the dectective use their ways of tackling crime

linked production

At first i had 2 intial ideas to for the linked production, A DVD cover or ethiur a script. i did some research before making the final decison.

For the DVD cover looked at 'The wire'; this is the first serious box set, were it uses limited use of language and colour therefore it has a great impact and looks appealing towards the audience

Continuing planning

Continuing on from the planning we as a group had successfully created the story outline and the storyboard and worked together and decided to split up the crime drama scenes into 3 sections and which we would film.
This also allowed us to work out which individuals will act in the film; and play the parts of the detective, victim and suspect/muderer, as 2 members of the volunteered and had taken the responsblity of acting as the detective and suspect/murderer. we already had found out before who was to play the victim ( a different member of the college).

Futhermore we also discussed what props were needed to brought and used in the first stage, we needed to create a victim board, this is so it emphaises and bulids into the mind of the the murder, and the uses of a computer. as a group of 4 we shared the roles of creating the victim board and watching several crime dramas which enables us to get ideas for the way we can present our crime drama. I was involved in the role of creating the victim board, this included getting various of women which can give the impression of what the the serial killer looks for in his next victim,
Moreover, this task involved it researching and finding images of gruesome individuals to suggest on how the killer mind works

We was already to shoot the first scene of ' Criminal Act'..so we as a group discussed which times would be suitable for us to capture the footage...we all agreed to film on the following day (wednesday 4pm) which was suitable for all.
I had taken the role of collecting the camera equipment at that time and setting up it up so we was ready to film the victim board and the victim chatting to the suspect online.

Planning

The next stage in the process is to create a story outline and a storyboard;

The storyboard consists of briefly writing what is to be included in the crime drama, and the type camera shots to be used, I and a fellow member of the group had shared the responsblity of doing this, continuing on from this ensured approximately how long the camera shots should be.
